To specify a percentage of memory to reserve, type it here. Now Startup Manager totals the memory required by the system and your startup items, then adds this percentage.

Now Startup Manager will reserve this amount or the percentage of total system memory specified at right — whichever is greater.

To specify that Now Startup Manager will reserve memory at startup in addition to that required by the system and your list of startup items, select this checkbox.

Once you’ve turned on this option, you can specify below how much memory will be reserved.







To define a key that will call up Now Startup Manager during startup, before any other items load (except for Now Toolbox and any items that load before it), click in this field and press a letter, number or function key (modifier keys are optional).



Now Startup Manager is currently set to automatically turn off an item that interrupts the startup process.

If you want to allow an item that interrupts the startup process to stay active through subsequent restarts, deselect this checkbox.



To specify that Now Startup Manager will automatically turn off an extension or control panel that interrupts (crashes) the startup process and let you begin conflict isolation to find the problem, select this checkbox.



Now Startup Manager is currently set to “wrap” startup icons to a new row on your screen whenever they reach the right edge.

If you want to see only one row of startup icons no matter how many items are loading, deselect this checkbox.



To specify that startup icons will “wrap” to a new row on your screen whenever they reach the right edge (so that you can see icons for all of your startup items), select this checkbox.



Now Startup Manager is currently set to display icons on your screen for items that normally aren’t visible as they load during startup.

If you don’t want to see icons for “invisible” items, deselect this checkbox.



To specify that Now Startup Manager will display icons on your screen for items that normally aren’t visible as they load during startup, select this checkbox.



Now Startup Manager is currently set to always ask for confirmation whenever you delete a Startup Set or a Link.

If you want to be able to delete Startup Sets and Links immediately without confirmation, deselect this checkbox.

Now Startup Manager is currently set to open control panels and startup items when you double-click them in the list.

When this option is turned on, you can’t double-click items in the list to toggle them on or off — you must click to the left of their names.
